Ingredients
Cake:
- Nonstick vegetable oil spray
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup sifted cake flour (sifted, then measured)
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted, cooled

Rockabye Baby: Lavender & Chamomile “Relaxation Remedy”
After working a bunch of OT last week, a 16 hour shift on Monday and a boring 8-hour software training class Tuesday, I was itching to get home. My first thought: my lavender/chamomile “total package” (bubble bath, body lotion & tea), my jammies & my bed.
I didn’t even bother lighting candles or turning on some music to set the mood. I just wanted to dive into the bath tub. Fast!

The Art of…Event Planning!
Here are just a few BASIC things that I’ve learned while planning (or attending) an event:
Make note of your ideas. So you won’t forget! Jot down any ideas you had for menu, theme, color scheme, etc. Post-it notes are your friends. Use them wisely.
Seek help early. Sometimes, you can get overwhelmed… that’s where your event coordinator/assistant comes in. Allow them to help you take a load off, so you can focus on your BIG DAY.
